Dr. Brett Feder
Dr. Feder earned B.S. degrees in Zoology and Microbiology and his D.V.M (1987) from the University of Florida. After internship and residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York and three years as Assistant Professor of Small Animal Medicine at Oklahoma State University, he became a board-certified Diplomate of Small Animal Internal Medicine from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1993. Dr. Feder founded South Carolina Veterinary Internal Medicine in Columbia in 1994. He has lectured frequently at local, state, and national conferences, published articles in veterinary journals and textbooks, has been co-editor of a section of a textbook, and is past president of The Greater Columbia Association of Veterinarians.
After-hours: Brett and his wife Karen, who is also a veterinarian, have two sets of twin daughters- Lauren, Lindsey, Brooke and Bailey, two dogs- Jingle and Lava, and a cat- Holly. Brett enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, college football (Go Gators!), and being an amateur tournament poker player at the World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour events.
