Dr. Pam Lucas
Lucas, Pam DVM DACVIM (Oncology)
Dr. Lucas, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology), grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and received her B.S. degree in Agriculture from Tennessee Technological University. She received her DVM from the University of Tennessee. In 2005, she completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship followed by an oncology internship in private practice in Florida. Dr. Lucas completed her residency in medical oncology and received her Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois. She received the Gregory E. MacEwen basic science research award and the Phi Zeta Literary award for research in the areas of lymphoma and osteosarcoma. She lectures at the state and national levels and is published in many veterinary journals. Professional interests include hematopoietic neoplasms, translational medicine, alleviating pathologic bone pain, and the human-animal bond.
After Hours: Dr. Lucas lives in Irmo with her husband Chris and their four-legged kids. She enjoys gardening, cooking, backpacking, and traveling.
