Donation: Bouncing Back, Giving Back!
Donation, a one-year-old emaciated stray, weighed just 19 pounds when she came to Dr. Delger. Raw sores and intense inflammation plagued her skin, which was horrible. We found Demodex (red mange) mites and a deep bacterial skin infection. Donation, placed in foster care, responded well to treatment. In a few weeks, her skin greatly improved, and she started to gain weight and continued to gain weight. We spayed her before going to her forever home, and today she’s a happy, healthy pet who almost didn’t get a second chance. A blood donor for very sick dogs since her own recovery, her name, “Donation,” symbolizes her “giving back” to other dogs in need.
